Design can be chaotic, your studio doesn't have to be

Updated: Aug 9, 2019

When creating, I like my studio to be like a blank canvas and that include my table where I am going to be mixing paints. You would like to clean up after painting each time, so when you walk in to the studio the next day you can just get started applying your colors, choosing mediums and start mixing. Your color palette is where a lot of work goes in to after designing your initial artwork. You would like to get into good habits where you have your brushes, mediums, paints and rags organized. Some tips to get rid of stubborn paint is to use some turps, rag and the almighty scrape razor blade! Make sure the scraper is safe to handle and comfortable to hold, obviously don´t hold the sharp end and think of the environment when disposing any hazard material. More importantly, cleaning your studio doesn't need to be boring. Put on some music, add some dancing and have fun! X Charlotte
